Sloane Crosley lives in Manhattan, where she works in book publishing. Her essays and criticism have appeared in The New York Times, The New York Observer, Playboy, The Village Voice, Salon, and Black Book, among other publications. She's also appeared on NPR and Sirius Satellite Radio, and wrote the cover story for the worst-selling issue of Maxim in that magazine's history. She is at work on a novel.
