Difficult being in Europe this summer without hearing about a genuine literary sensation, Millenium, a trilogy by Swedish author, Stieg Larrson.

It has already sold more than 2 million copies and the trilogy is being described as a "family saga", "police investigation", "thriller" -- that transforms its readers into addicts!

We've known a few of these in the last few years, but not many have the quality of lasting three books. Too bad, we did not get a chance to see it in the bookstores for the summer!

The author, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack at age 50, was a well known for taking a stand against the extreme right and racism. The fact that he had just dropped off copies of this series on the desk of his editor, have added to the "mythology" that now surrounds his work.

The first book is coming out in the US in September and is entitled: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Watch out for it!
